Community-acquired bacterial pneumonia (CABP) is an acute, lower respiratory bacterial infection associated with considerable morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs. This publication details the results of a study designed to assess the budget impact of introducing omadacycline as a treatment for patients with CABP, as well as the impact of shifting treatment from an inpatient hospital setting to an outpatient setting.
